Just thought I'd post these pictures that Sarah took of our family during Christmas at Jake's Mom & Dads. We had such a blast there and I thought these pics turned out great. I love the first one of just our legs with Gid in the middle (mostly cuz I LOVE those shoes I have on...) and the last one really makes me laugh... Jake was like...."Hurry up Sarah, I've got Gid's nuts!" And well...Gid's face is just perfect considering the circumstances. Oh I just love my crazy little family!
My Dad got this wagon for "all future Doan and Richardson grandchildren" to use at his house. So, of course he had to take Gid for a ride in it. It was too cold to go outside, so he just drove him around the house. Gid loved it!
He also really loved the ball that the Galbraith gang gave him for his birthday, he was laughing in this pic. I just thought it was funny.
This is Gid with his cousin Jason! Talk about handsome boys! This is the one cute shot I managed to get before Gid shoved Jason's head into the side of the wagon and they both started screaming. Boys will be boys, hahaha... jk. No, but seriously they're both so cute and I can't wait til they're big enough to really play together!! We had such a fun time having everyone together for Gid's birthday. Thanks so much everybody for coming to celebrate. We love you all!!

This is the laptop my dad found for $7 that Gid is absolutely obsessed with... HE LOVES IT!
He got all kinds of great Little People stuff for both Christmas and his birthday. He likes them alot, but I'm pretty sure I like them more...they're just so dang cute!

Here's the big skateboard cake! Gid put his hand in it while we were putting the skateboards on it!!
Hy-vee does this great thing where they make a mini cake for 1st Birthdays. So gid got this little chocolate monstrosity to himself. Boy did he LOVE it!!!
Here he is sooo happy while everyone is singing, and me trying to prod him to blow out the candle!
And finally, chowing down on his cake... I'm pretty sure that outfit will never be the same again, there was just no stopping to put on a bib once he got started on that thing. He's such a great baby, and I can't believe he's already a year old! He really is our pride and joy and we're just so thankful he's ours!

Dad bought Gid a little wooden train set from IKEA and Gid spent the morning of his birthday hanging out with Grampa & Great Grampa and disassembling the train tracks. He just did not want it to be put together!
Gid with Great Grampa! He and Phyllis weren't able to stay for the party, but it was so good to have them stop by! We just love them to pieces!
More of Gid and Grampa with the train....Gid finally figured out how to pull all the train cars... I'm sure he'll figure it out eventually!

Apparently I was behind the camera all the time because there aren't any pictures of me at Christmas, but Jake got me a Zune and it's AMAZING!! We had breakfast with my family and opened presents with them after we finished opening our own. We then spent the rest of Christmas Day vegging out and being complete bums. It was great though!
It was Gid's first Christmas this year, and he got all kinds of great stuff. Of course he was most happy with the giant sucker and the drum sticks that were actually in Jake's stocking. After I returned Jake's Wii I went out and got him a bunch of recording equipment which he was much happier with. Yay! for Christmas!
Here is Jake's whole family at Christmas! (Except for Josh & Amanda who we were so glad we got to see a few weeks earlier...We miss you guys!) They're all crazy and wonderful and all the kids are so funny with their personalities! It's always a blast to get everyone together!
This is pretty much how my living room looked for the entire Christmas holiday. Jake turned it into a mock recording studio to make a Christmas cd for his momma. It was well worth all the hassle of having chords running through the living room.
So I completely forgot about this until I was cleaning pictures off of my camera. Last week I was some how forced into helping my brother and his weird friends with their Biology project. They had to make a plant cell, and logically they wanted it to be edible so they could eat it after their presentation. Only problem is they couldn't manage to bake a cake. (I know, right?) So I volunteered my baking skills to the project. Well, somehow the actual making of the cell was forgotten, and they completely covered Zach with Saran wrap. As you can see, Gid thought they were all freaks... He was a little uncomfortable with the whole thing. My family is mental, but I love them!
