I couldn't believe how long she stayed awake and happy while we were taking pictures! She really is such an easy baby, how in the world did I get lucky enough to have two that are easy?! I'm certainly not complaining. It's so crazy to me how much Ashelyn and Gideon look SO much alike, but at the same time are so different! Gideon is pale like me, with his Daddy's short legs and square feet and was born with blonde hair that has just kept getting blonder. Ashelyn is darker like Daddy with long, skinny arms, legs, fingers, and toes... just like me. Even her fingernails look exactly like mine only in miniature. Her hair is dark and she has lots of it, I'm interested to see if it stays that way. Babies are just the most amazing little miracles in the world!
***I love the second picture, it looks like she has so much to say!
Oh, I'm so glad I have Sarah!!!
These are just the start of the adorable pictures she took of our little miss last night!!!
I just love them!
Jenny & Spenser found this mini golf club at a garage sale and Gideon thought it was the greatest thing going! I don't know what was going on with the camera setting because the pictures came out blurry but they're still cute!
While we were up at Ron & Jenny's last night Sarah got some GREAT pictures, I'll be sure to blog them as soon as she sends them my way!

Gramma Jenny made Ashelyn this AWESOME baby quilt. Is it not the happiest thing you've ever seen!?! I just love it!
Gideon is so sweet with Ashelyn. If she's crying he runs in to check on her and then comes to get me. I just loved these pictures of him trying to tell me that she was awake. I was a little worried with how he'd handle the whole transition from baby to big brother but all in all, he's doing great. He loves to give her kisses and wants to hold her and is even sleeping all night in his big boy bed! I can't believe I'm now the mother of two... it's crazy, but they're wonderful and I love it!
Thanks to all our family who put up pictures of Ashelyn and thanks for all the comments. She's absolutely beautiful and we feel so blessed to have such a sweet baby girl. I have lots of pictures to put up but they're all on our computer, which is temporarily without internet. It should be up in the next couple days. Thanks to everyone who came to visit us in the hospital too! We would have died of boredom without you, we were so ready to go home!
Also, thanks to everyone who helped us get moved in to our new house. We had to be patient, but it paid off and we're SO glad to finally be in our own place. We're looking forward to having everyone over soon!
Here's a picture of all of us with Ashelyn I stole from my momma's blog for now!
Love you all! Thanks again!

I got up even earlier than usual this morning so I could finish up packing the last minute things so it's all ready to move when Jake gets home from work. Gid followed me around drawing on boxes and scaring me half to death by bringing me lots of things that aren't the best for an 18 month old to play with (scissors, screwdriver, safety pins, toilet bowl cleaner, icy hot...you know, the good stuff.) I disassembled the crib, tried to disassemble my bed (mattresses are REALLY heavy... and today is a day I DON'T want to go into labor) and thought better of it. Did the laundry, put off doing the dishes(they're all glasses and I still can't get the motivation...), boxed up the bathroom, took down all the pictures, boxed up even more books than I already had and next thing I know, Gideon had curled up on his crib matress in the middle of the living room floor.... so that's when I decided that I probably needed a break too and sat down to blog. I just love that boy.
Jake got one of those yummy giant chocolate covered pretzels rolled in sprinkles at church for Father's Day and Jake barely took it out of the package before Gideon swiped it... He munched on that thing for a good 20 minutes though and then got really freaked out by all the sprinkles stuck to his hands.
We got to spend time with both of our Dad's on Sunday and enjoyed a plethora of barbecue goodness.... can't beat it.
My husband is easy to please... all he really wanted to do Father's Day weekend was skateboard and he certainly got to. We went to the park twice on saturday, the weather was beautiful and Gideon loved chasing Jake all over the park, riding with him and sliding down the ramps... I know these pictures always look about the same, but we spend a huge chunk of our Saturdays at skateparks... so these are always gonna be around.
Besides getting to skateboard all day, Jake also got a really nice new leather computer chair. You'd have thought I got him something much cooler if you'd have seen his excitement over the thing. But, I guess it makes sense... when he's not out working hard at Bart's, he's usually spending all the free time he can muster in front of the computer designing stuff for Lemon Fresh or for the people he's screen printing for. He's always busy and always up to something new, but I'm so thankful for all the work he does. It will be so nice to be in our new house where all of our stuff will fit into OUR space and we don't have to bounce back and forth from place to place to get things done!

So I know this happened a while ago, but I never got any pictures up. It was so nice to have everyone together at Isaac's baptism. It seemed like it had been forever since we'd had the whole group in one place. Gideon was in love with the old school desk and sat there and ate goodies the entire time. I threw in this disgusting picture of Jake & I just because it's actually better than any of the other more recent shots of me. Sad, I know... but at least you get to see the belly!
You'll have to excuse me while I play catch up for a bit... I'm using blogging as an excuse not to pack....
The other day, Gideon and I stopped at BK to have a nice wholesome breakfast (cough cough) and much to my enjoyment he wore the crown the ENTIRE time... it was pretty much the best ever. I was beside myself with giggles the entire time and got lots of strange looks from the group of retirees that can always be found at Burger King early in the morning.
Side note: How come chubby cheeks look so much cuter on him than they do me???

WE LOVE YOU!!!!
Thanks so much for all that you do for all of us. Hope you have a wonderful day!
So, I'm still pregnant. Really pregnant....
I had a Dr's appointment yesterday and he "can't believe I haven't gone into labor yet."
Which...whatever the heck that means, I don't know. I tried to convince him that he should induce me right away but he just laughed and said they'd schedule me for next week if I haven't had the baby by then. The only scary thing is he's going out of town from Wednesday to Monday, so I'm thinking this baby should just come out today... If that doesn't happen, which as my luck goes, it probably won't.. I'll probably either go into labor while he's gone, or have to go in to be induced next Thursday the 19th...which is my due date. C'est la vie. I guess it's not really that far away... I just want to see my baby girl!!!

Alright, so nothing new has really happened... I just felt bad for not blogging since last week. So I figure I'll just try to come up with something interesting to say.
Things I'm looking forward to:
1. Moving into our house.
2. Seeing Jake get bucked off the bull at his work party on Friday.
3. Moving into our house.
4. Having a beautiful new baby girl.
5. Not being pregnant.... second baby is officially TEN MILLION times worse than the first.
6. Being able to fit into normal clothes... right now I only have about 3 things that I can wear... even all my maternity stuff doesn't manage to reach over the combination of my big belly and super long torso...what a joke.
As for other news:
-We picked a name!!! We love it and we're so excited and guess what...we're not telling you until she's here. At least you know she's not nameless right!? I wouldn't even tell you that we had picked one...because now you have to deal with all the anticipation... I just thought I'd save you the time of giving us any more ideas.
-Jake's screen printing stuff is basically the coolest thing I've ever seen. I never thought we'd get so excited over 5 gigantic boxes of t-shirts being stuffed into the back of my car...but it's awesome how it all works. This is one time I'm really thankful I gave into my husbands seemingly crazy ideas!
-Today I'm going to the fabric store in hopes of finding the perfect material to make the bedding for the baby's room. I have a great idea in mind, let's just hope I actually find something so that I can enlist the help of my mother in law to actually get this stuff done! (ha...you thought I was gonna sew it... YA RIGHT!!)
Well...that's about it...not too exciting, but I'll take it.
